Many schools choose to make the Six Kinds of Best their core school values and customize them to suit their school's uniqueness. We can help you create your own unique Values/ Character Education program. You can customize any of the following elements:

Program Name

• • At Rakaia School they call the Six Kinds of Best the 'Spirit of Rakaia'

  • At Wyndham DHS  they call their program the 'Wyndham Way'.

We have used these two schools as examples.

Logo

You might like to choose a logo for your program that connects with your local community. For example at Rakaia School they use a flame as part of their values logo and at Wyndham they use a Boab Tree (a local species) to illustrate the Six Kinds of Best.

Mascot

You can substitute the Six Kinds of Best character 'Sonny SOELAC' for your school mascot. 

• • At Rakaia they have 'Dunford Salmon' named after a local pioneers.

  • At Wyndham DHS they have 'Snappy the Crocodile' named by a student in a competition.

Posters

We create customized A3 and A4 Six Kinds of Best posters using your program name, logo and mascot.

Teachers Guides and Student Workbooks

We can help you create your own unique Values and Character Education Program for your school. We take the existing Six Kinds of Best Teachers Guides and Student Workbooks and substitute all the Six Kinds of Best logos, mascots and appropriate text with yours. We can also add two introductory pages with your school information e.g. Message from the Principal, Message to Parents, School Information.

Program materials cover 10 year levels from 4-13 year olds.

What Does It Cost?

The only extra cost is the artwork for your values logo and mascot. You can organize your own or we have an excellent graphic design partner www.schoolbrandingmatters.co.nz who specializes in working with schools.

Customized resources do require minimum print runs.
